Meet Your Adventure Specialist: Fred Herbst

Fred-Herbst

Time at TAXA Outdoors: 1 Year

Hobbies: An Austin, Texas native, I love exploring the Texas hill country. Palo Duro Canyon in the Texas Panhandle is a favorite camping spot for my family and me. I love sports and I’m a long-time Disc Golf enthusiast.

Favorite Habitat: Mantis. My home away from home. I presently office in one!

Best Camping Memory: Witnessing a meteor shower while camping in Palo Duro Canyon. The numbers of shooting stars over an hour were awe inspiring.

Camping Must Haves: Give me the 23Zero 180-degree batwing awning with a comfortable Kelty Camping Chair. Let me also take advantage of a Taxa Koozie. It does not take much to make me happy!

What does it mean to you to be an Adventure Specialist? As tethered as we have become to technology, it is an indescribable experience to totally unplug. Utilizing the TAXA Habitats to venture out beyond the crowded camping grounds to find a place where few others have trod is such a triumphant experience. To then unplug, is to invite the cloak of tension and urgency to finally begin to shed. As an Adventure Specialist, it is my job to help you see the quality and sustainability of the TAXA Habitats can make this a reality for you and your family for years to come. Such camping experiences become life-long memories. For a young family, these experiences become legacy building.
