Your Get-Ready Checklist
- Tighten all bolts and attachments (see below for recommended torque specs)
- Thoroughly inspect the trailer exterior and interior - open all compartments and check for animal or insect intrusion, water damage, or other deterioration.
- Check charge level battery and recharge as needed
- Check tire tread and pressures — make sure re-inflate to specified cold pressure
- Lube chassis
- Check all exterior lights, and replace as needed
- Check all 12-volt DC circuit fuses
- Operate all 12-volt DC lights and equipment
- Check your 7-pin connector, converter, all outlets and any exposed wiring. If defects are found, refer service to your dealer.
- Inspect and clean the interior
Step One: Tighten All Bolts and Attachments
It’s important to make sure all bolts and attachments are tight, as they may have become loose after last season’s adventures. Here are a few points to check - we recommend using a torque wrench to achieve the recommended tension.
Underside Tongue Bolts
Tighten to 107-127 ft/lbs with a torque wrench
Lug Nuts
Tighten to 95 ft/lbs with a torque wrench
Risers
Tighten to 63 ft/lbs with a torque wrench on all risers
Lock-n-Roll - Front Single Bolt
Tighten to 107-127 ft/lbs with a torque wrench
Lock-n-Roll - 2 Side Bolts
Tighten to 107-127 ft/lbs with a torque wrench
