Tell us a little about yourself and why you own a TAXA?
I am a dad, husband, and new outdoor lover. We bought a Mantis because we believed it gave us the ability to have basic comforts met (a/c in Texas summers) and freedom to stay outside as long as we could. We wanted to be a family that explored, stayed curios and promoted being outside in nature.
Where is your favorite place to take your TAXA?
Any place with tall trees and a good lake.
Who do you explore with?
What are your favorite outdoor activities?
paddle boarding, hiking, mountain biking
Do you have any hacks or mods that you've done to your habitat to enhance your travels?
We tied paracord across the front to use as a clothesline, added some holes to our bunks to add an extra safety net for the bottom bunk, and added a lithium-ion battery.
Tell us your favorite unique habitat story.
We have only had our Mantis for a few months so far, but our very first trip we went to Santa Fe National Forest and spent a week there. We dry camped for 5 days and learned so much about water usage, super-fast showers, and how well the heater worked. It will always be such a great memory as our maiden voyage.
What's one place you'd love to explore?
I can't leave home without my...
